. . . will go to the Valley Educational Gardens Initiative a.k.a – VEGI

VEGI delivers a new gardening or nutrition lesson every 6 weeks to over 400 children at the Alamosa Elementary School and a new lesson every week to both the Boys and Girls Club and PALS program.

VEGI will used funds raised during the 2024 Seed Exchange for:

  • Metal racks to be used outside of the grow dome during the hardening off process.
  • High quality weed mat  for weed mitigation is of the utmost importance due to water being a limited resource.

VEGI empowers the San Luis Valley community by providing access, education and opportunity to gardening and nutrition. By enhancing the wellness of individuals, we contribute to the prosperity of our community as a whole.
